This video cracks me up.

Well, I’m glad I didn’t decide to get my PhD.
www.drscottcrews.com is taken. I found the site this morning, thanks to the power of Google Alerts.
Dr. Scott J Crews is a dentist in Spokane, WA. I’m sure he’s a great dentist…after all, with a name like that, how could you go wrong? Besides, he made the site with iWeb, which means he (or whoever made the site) is a Mac computer person. Another potential identifier of greatness.
I don’t know why my sister is even bothering with her PhD. There’s apparently already a Dr. Laura Timmerman. I don’t think she has a website yet, though….
Anyone else have a good story of someone else who shares their name?

I love Kroger’s price policy. If it doesn’t ring up right…it’s free! Through the years I’ve gotten free yogurt and a free cheesecake from this policy.
This morning I got free Hydrocortisone cream for a bug bite. It was a nice surprise. After all, the only thing worse than getting bit by an insect is having to PAY money to because you got bit by an insect.
I love watching the x-games every year. During the last couple years I haven’t had cable in my house, so during the X-Games weekend I usually try to arrange hanging out with all my friends at their houses. (The bigger the TV, the better!)
This year I’m excited to see a few more of the folks I’ve worked with over the last year getting to compete in the X-Games.
The first two are BMX guys.
We have a team here in Nashville that we book and manage: Outcast BMX. We do events, primarily in churches and schools, where our guys roll up to the location, pull out the ramps, and do a big show. Through this we’ve gotten to work with a bunch of great riders.
So this year, when you’re watching the BMX freestyle street contest, here are the two people you should cheer for:

Nathan Williams. He’s from Nashville!
And…

Seth Kimbrough. He’s from Alabama.
And the other person you should cheer for is our friend Willy Watts. Willy has come to a few of our Freedom Experience events, and appeared with Kevin Johnson on our DVD, Standing Room Only. (Last year Kevin won a Gold medal in the X-Games)

Willy is riding in the Moto best trick competition. I do believe that might be my favorite event to watch. So needless to say, I’m pretty excited.
This past weekend my friends Chris and Rachel got married. Lyndsay and I both got to be a part of the wedding, which was a blast. I took a billion pictures, which I will post soon.
A couple months ago, Chris and Rachel asked me to make the slideshow of their pictures growing up. We played it at the rehearsal dinner, but it turned out so well I thought I’d post it here too.
When I’m shopping in Kroger, I hear ads running over and over telling me that buying a reusable bag will help the environment and save hundreds of bags throughout my lifetime. I even see it written on signage out in the parking lot.
But when I check out with a single item, I get at least 12 inches of register receipt tape, including my entire monthly Kroger Rewards Point balance and even a credit card application for my very own Kroger credit card. For ONE item!
Seriously, Kroger? I don’t need a foot of paper to tell me that I bought a candy bar.
C’mon.
I hope everyone had a happy fourth of July. We got to go visit some of our friends in Birmingham at a wedding shower for our friends Chris and Rachel, who are getting married this coming weekend. We grilled out, played corn hole, ultimate frisbee, and watched fireworks. It was a great time. I only took a couple pictures, but here they are.
